Leaning heavily into his ever-apparent jungle influences is EP opener '1000%%', complete with ragga soundbites and choppy drum-work, yet never falling to stale clichés. Glimmering melodic lines and a desire to keep progressing push this tune into a new dimension and is destined to get feet moving on beer-soaked dancefloors.

Poignant Middle-Eastern instrumentation introduces you to 'Walkin', the EPs first venture into a more liquid-orientated sound. A clever take on an iconic drum break acts as the foundation for this one, while a scattering of angelic choirs and vocal cries provide ethereal atmospheres and a sheen of musical excellence. Truly a unique twist on the genre.

The title track 'Attrition' continues in the same lane as the previous, using melody and rare instrumentation choices as the driving forces behind the tune. It's a highly animated, deeply textured piece of music that allows you to switch off and soak in the musicality. Switch back on, however, and you'll notice the tiny details that Kusp pulls off so well.

The releases closes with 'Back Off', finishing off how we started with a nod back to jungle sounds. This one is an intense snare workout, masterfully utilising breakbeats in a way that precisely bounces off of the bubbly 808s and wobbling subs. Reliance on other elements is often sparse throughout, instead allowing the drum-work to take centre stage - as they rightly should.
