Sometimes two talents interlock so perfectly it warrants a sum greater than both individual parts. Re:Form is one of said cases, combining the incredible talents of Refine and Minor Forms, based respectively in Berlin and London. While you may know Minor Forms already through his funk-driven sound on labels like Sofa Sound, C.I.A. and Delta9 Recordings, Refine is a newer producer who is ready to prove his worth in the scene. We are honoured to
introduce them both as Re:Form to SINE Audio with the masterful 'Deep Rooted EP.

Opening the EP with one of two MC-led tracks, 'The Narrative' is musical anarchy in all its gut-wrenching glory. MC Fokus leads the warpath with politically charged lyrics and a snappy flow that matches with the duo's dynamic drum swagger. Hold tight the half-time tease…

Moving into the second vocal track of the release, we are incredible proud to introduce long-time SINE family Visionobi to the label. 'Fate' is a stripped back roller that focuses on a small number of superbly crafted elements, with Visionobi's signature lyrical content and flow slotting in perfectly over Re:Form's pulsing basses and assertive drums.

Settling into dystopia from the get-go, 'Shuttle' provides possibly the darkest sound of the whole EP. Repeating sirens and a seemingly never-ending drone lead into a drop that bounces various bass hits off of an energetic drum loop to create a groove that is oh-so-ready for early morning club basement sessions. Watch the tasteful progressions in the
second half.

Expansive pads and airy vocal chops fill up the intro to final track 'Lagoon' and provide a welcome break from the previous aural carnage of the EP. As the track moves forward, already-signature bass growls rip in and out of the mix, providing an extra later of excitement on top of eerie melodics created through reverb-soaked pads, synths and FX throughout.

Another class piece from Break. The original was good when it hit. The Bad Company remix was next level and this one to me is a close race for best remix of this classic. This one to me has the most gnarly drop of all. Like his formula is to sneak up on you with the drop and he accomplishes that mission over and over and over again. I've been collecting Break & Silent Witness tracks when I started buying records over 20 years ago. mrmonoxide
